Data licensing for established businesses

Explore the value of the work your business has already done.

Your company’s internal records may have value beyond their original purpose. AI data buyers are evaluating operational histories that show how teams solve problems, make decisions and complete real work.

We help you understand the opportunity and take the next step with a buyer.

Check whether your company fits

No files or system access needed to start.

The records

What kinds of records could be relevant?

The interest is in how work gets done, not simply a customer list or a spreadsheet of transactions.

Procedures and playbooks

Internal instructions, knowledge bases and documented workflows.

Project histories

Planning, revisions, testing and decisions recorded as projects progress.

Problem-solving records

Support resolutions, troubleshooting and operational exceptions.

Internal working discussions

Records showing how teams evaluate options and reach decisions.

Holding a record does not automatically mean your company can license it. Ownership, confidentiality, personal information and existing agreements need to be reviewed before any material is shared.

Potential fit

Who should explore this?

Established businesses with substantial office-based teams, retained digital records and repeatable workflows are a useful starting point.

  • Years of retained operational history.
  • Teams regularly working in email and business software.
  • Records primarily in English.
  • Someone authorized to discuss the company’s rights and approve next steps.

Software, IT services, professional services, engineering and office-based logistics operations may be relevant.

These are starting indicators, not approval criteria. Eligibility depends on the buyer, the records and the rights available.

The process

How it works

01

Tell us about your business

Share your industry, office-team size and the types of systems and records you use. No data exports are needed.

02

Explore a potential fit

We review the initial information and, with your permission, introduce you to a buyer for evaluation.

03

Review the buyer’s proposal

The buyer handles its assessment and presents any proposed license, scope and payment terms. You decide whether to proceed.

04

Complete the agreed process

If you move forward, the buyer coordinates the required review and data-handling steps directly with your company.

Independent introductions

Your role. Our role.

DealMotion helps identify potential fits, explains the introduction process and helps you navigate the handoff. The buyer determines whether it wants to license your records and on what terms.

We may receive a referral commission if an introduction meets the buyer’s payout conditions. There is no DealMotion retainer or introduction fee for business owners exploring this route.

Common questions

Before you take the next step

Are you buying my company?

No. This is an opportunity to explore licensing defined records, rather than selling equity in your business.

Are you the data buyer?

No. DealMotion is an independent referrer. The buyer evaluates the opportunity and contracts directly with your company.

How much could we receive?

There is no reliable quote before evaluation. Any offer depends on the usefulness, history, quality and permitted use of the records. Some companies will not receive an offer.

Do we need to send files now?

No. Start with a description of your business and records. Please do not send confidential files, exports or login credentials to DealMotion.

Does removing names make everything eligible?

No. Removing identifying information does not resolve every ownership, confidentiality or privacy issue. Your company and the buyer must establish what can be included.

Can we keep using our records?

Continued use, exclusivity, duration and other rights are determined by the proposed license. Review those terms before agreeing.
